McCord Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of William Shelton Gilmore to our team as a Field Services Technician serving the Central Texas area.
Shelton has most recently worked as a Training Instructor for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s (TEEX) Infrastructure Training and Safety Institute (ITSI). Prior to joining TEEX, Shelton retired from his position as Operations Supervisor with the Bartlett Electric Cooperative where he also held the positions of Journeyman Lineman and Field Design Technician during his tenure from 1983 to 2017.
Shelton’s other accomplishments include:
Participant in the Texas Lineman’s Rodeo Association since 2008
Member of the Texas Lineman’s Rodeo Association Advisory Board since 2012
Guest Instructor for Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) – 12 years
Recipient of TEC Loss Control’s Unsung Hero Award
Recipient of the National Utility Training and Safety Education Association’s O.G. Anderson Safety Award – 2016
Member of Bartlett Electric Cooperative’s Safety Committee
Instructor for Bartlett Electric Cooperative’s Lineman Apprenticeship Program
